Cuffed Jeans and Heels

My recent trending obsession: Cuffed jeans and heels or flats. Colored jeans. Vibrant colored shoes. Plain shirts. Blazers. and I'm Set!!

Weather for the week in Orlando: SUNNY! Enjoy that natural Vitamin D. Get some color by laying out for an hour each day. Bring study material and you'll be golden--literally!

How are those New Years Resolutions going? What about lent? Personal goals? Keep 'em up!

Try to get into the happen of utilizing the whole day-- wake up early (-ish), fight that urge to sleep in and take that hangover out for a walk. Enjoy a nutritional breakfast to start your day off right.

Have a friend with a dog? Volunteer to take the lil pup for a walk or jog in the park. Make a bucket list and start checking things off once a week!

Remember to be the best you that you can be. Enjoy the journey!

What could be better then enjoying a Saturday with friends and fashionable locals, sipping on wine for hours and shopping for shoes??? I can't think of anything better...

Wine Women & Shoes will take place on Saturday, April 28 at Rosen Shingle Creek. Attendees will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, wine and the best shopping from national and local boutiques. A live and silent auction will also take place, as well as a fashion show presented by Saks Fifth Avenue.

Dear fellow Orlando peeps,

The Festival of Chocolate is the Ultimate All-Chocolate shopping, interactive and educational event. The Event, which was recently recognized as one of the top 10 Chocolate Festivals in the country, will be showcasing its second Cocoa Couture Fashion Show April 27th 2012 at the UCF Arena. The Show will feature 15 up and coming designers who will sketch, sew, stitch and eat their way into their cocoa-themed creation.

So mark you calendars! The Event is on April 27th 4pm - 10pm, and the Fashion Show begins at 8pm.

Prices: The pre-sale tickets that you can purchase at www.orlando.festivalofchocolate.com are 15 dollars and the tickets at the door are 17! For kids its 9 dollar pre-sale and 11 at the door.

The Creations:

The Gold dress was made by Alexandra Lin. For her two piece design Alex chose Milka chocolate because of its very large gold wrappers.  Milka is a Swiss chocolate and is the Hershey Bar of Europe. The two piece outfit, boots and hat are made from 122 carefully unwrapped whole wrappers which are all hand stitched. The dress took her about 50 hours. Her inspiration for the dress came from a James bond movie.

The Reeses dress was made by Andrea Omboni. This beautiful dress was made from reese cups and reese "mnms". Andrea made her reese "mnms" out of ceramic, so her chocolate would not melt. The bottom of her dress was made of reese cups that varied in size. This dress won Judge Favorite and Fan Favorite.

Welcome Back--Sincerely, Reality.

Hello fashionista friends,

I have been absolutely swamped with reality this past month but I'm back!
Spring Break last week I wore a tank top one day and 6 layers of sweaters the next... can you guess what I did??? Spring skiing in South Lake Tahoe, CA!!! Who knew one day it could be 40 degrees and hot because the sun and clear skies make you oh so toasty at 10,000ft. The next day, zero degrees and 40mph gusts---no so awesome.

Spend the weekend in the beautiful weather conditions of St. Augustine, FL--soaked up the sun a little too much that it now hurts to move. #whoops! Got to love those UV rays!!

This week the perfect weather shall continue in the greater Orlando area.
What's trending?? While colorful jeans are still fabulous, this weather calls for shorts! Royal blues, burnt orange, bright red, turquoise. You name the color, the shorts are out on the sales floors! Especially at American Eagle!

Check out this rainbow array of colorful jeans shorts:

If you're not into the eye popping trend setting shebang, match the colorful shorts with a neutral or white top and you'll be golden. However, I hope you strive for the best and rock something like this (only because I know you can!):
Happy trending from yours truly,
Styleorologist
