A new spin to job applications

Well my friend may not be the most stylish man but in San Diego it works! My buddy Colin was asked to create a video explaining why he would be a good addition for a company he's applying for. Instead of doing the stereotypical, white wall background, lame, selfie video, he gave it a little spunk.

And guess what? It worked. He's meeting with the president of the company and had his video spread like wild fire throughout the company staff. Goes to show that being a little different and being yourself (goofy in his case) is what makes you stand out and move up in the world.

**he also included a very detailed and mature resume with all of his awesome credentials pertaining to the professionalism required in the business world**

Check out his video:

Fall is in the Air...FINALLY!

So after that "hurricane" that hit South Florida and the east coast, some cooler weather has followed.

Super refreshing weather like this inspires me to wake up early and enjoy a fresh pot of coffee outside. Well until the weather drops down to the 30s or 40s...because then I won't want to get out of my warm and cozy bed. SO until then, studying, hot coffee and early cool mornings :)

Jeans, leggings, sweaters, cardigans, boots, scarfs, knit hats, high socks.... the clothes of the fall (in Florida at least).

Weather this week: it's looking like 60s and 70s all week and wicked sunny

This week: HALLOWEEEEEEEN on Wednesday yayyy. Plenty of Halloween events going on downtown. Many local pumpkin patches as well.
Don't forget about Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios!

Cheers:)

Taco Tuesday

Taco Tuesday at Wall Street Cantina (downtown), Amigos and El Cerro! Can't hate that!! Yay margaritas, loaded Coronas and TACOOOOOS.

Temperatures are finally kinda dropping! Still pretty humid outside though :/ I can't wait until the temp drops to the 70s with low humidity so I can sit outside on campus and study without sweating//glistening!!!

Lastest trending obsession-- my new jean vest. I got it from a new UCF store called Hut 8 for $7!!! Old Navy brand and it fits soo well. Semi-cropped with a v-neck and tailor look. Hut 8 is a store just like Plato's closet but looks like Hollister inside with the dim lighting. Since it's still a newish store, they have  better/newer options then Plato's does and will buy more of your clothes too. Have any colored jeans you're over or don't fit into anymore? Sell them! Or swap them out for something new to spice up your wardrobe.

This wardrobe is super easy and could definitely use some arm candy. Jean vest, designed bando and a high wasted colored skirt.

Daily routine for a blissful day:

Yoga and coffee in the morning
wine before bed

Cheers,
Styleorologist

Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da, life goes on bra.

Some catching up to do

So it seems I have a few months of catching up to do in this fine blogging world....

Last I posted I mentioned two fashion events in Orlando. So today I'll catch up all my readers on local events from the summer and coming soon to Orlando.

Summer:
I went home to Cape Cod, MA (near Boston but with more sand) for the entire summer and got to see all of my family and amazing friends. Oh what a wonderful and relaxing summer it was!! The Cape is known for its preppy//polo style and the summery beachy look, as well.

Recently:
Victoria's Secret PINK store opened at Mall of Millenia. Oh! What a great success that was. Thankfully, I work at American Eagle right below the PINK store so I got to see everything!!! Even the beautiful VS model, Elsa Hosk.

Coming soon to Orlando area:

Park Ave Fashion Week
October 14th-20th
This will be a week long of fashion events incorporating local artists and boutigues. Be sure to get your tickets ahead of time. For students, it's $50 for entry into the events all week long AND the fashion show!!!
For more information and tickets, click here!

Today's actual report:
Beautiful sunny day though I'm sure it'll downpour later in the day. I'm going out to lunch with my best friend in downtown Orlando to a wonderful Spanish tapas bar and restaurant called Ceviche. It blows my mind how so much flavor is held in such small portions!
**training my taste buds for when I move to Barcelona in January!!!**

This white lace dress have quite a high//awkward seam but with a long and bold necklace with some tone flats and jewelry, I should be able to make this school-girl dress look eloquent, yet casual for my lovely lunch date:)

Have a fabulous day!
Styleorologist

HAPPY OCTOBER!!! :)

Btw! If you fell out of your workout and healthy diet routine over the summer like I did, be sure to check out Karina and Katrina's Tone It Up site<<<<they're the best and wicked supportive!!!
